What if you enjoyed your stay in Ibiza to go for a walk in the vineyards of the island and taste the local wine?
All you have to do is to go to Bodegas Can Rich, 17 hectares of vineyards located in an exceptional place, surrounded by nature and a few minutes from San Antonio and Ibiza.
In fact, wine is a tradition here in Ibiza, since the Phoenicians introduced wine growing in Ibiza in the seventh century B.C. Since then, local people take benefits of the weather to produce some fine wine. Can Rich began more than twenty years ago by positioning itself from its start on an innovative niche at the time: ecological agriculture.
La bodega cultivates grape varieties of malvasía and chardonnay, and also some of monastrell, tempranillo, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and syrah. All productions are therefore organic, and the particular flavor of the wine, particularly due to the salinity of the land. The production has been awarded several times in the Balearic Islands, on the peninsula and even worldwide !
In addition to producing around 90,000 liters of wine each year, Can Rich produces Hierbas Ibicencas (bronze medal at the Hong Kong wine and spirits competition). They also produce liqueurs, Ibiza salt with original flavors (salt with lemon, salt with olives, salt with vinegar …), a delicate olive oil, and balsamic vinegar.
To discover the manufacturing secrets of Bodegas Can Rich and the famous Hierbas Ibicencas, Can Rich offers on reservation guided tours throughout the year from Monday to Friday in the morning. You’ll have the occasion to taste different wines, hierbas ibicencas and to have an aperitif dinner made from local products (empanadas, coca, pan paid tomato, queso y sobrasada ..).
Visits from Monday to Friday in the morning, price according to the number of people (60 € / person for 2 people, 30 € / person from 6 people).
